Jezebel Presents partnered with So La Flair to create their ‘Jezebels Grand-Opening’ marking the first of a regular Partisan underground live music night. We transformed the Partisan Mill space into a vaudeville backstage dressing room and created a camp as ever cabaret to feature alongside the live music performances.

Order Of Events: Art Exhibition Viewing (5pm - 8pm), Dawn Till Dusk Cabaret (8pm - 10pm), After Dark Bands then DJs (10pm - 4am)
ROLL UP, ROLL UP ALL ARTISTS AND HEATHENS GALORE
We invite you to the party behind the stage door
Where we gather the divine, the beautiful and strange
The extravagant, excessive and slightly deranged.
Welcome to the imaginarium all queer and curious creatures
To the show behind the curtain where everyone features

We welcome all pleasure-seekers to the Jezebel Ball.

SO LA STARS
-
Performer
Judas Darkholme (they/them) is the marriage between curiosity and monstrosity. Always one to dance to the beat of their own drum, their enticing, high-energy performances infuse spoken word, punk interrogations and camp reiterations.
-
Performer
Slut Boy (they/he) is a genderqueer performer inhabited for one night by the spirit of a disgraced clown- who was kicked out the circus for being too naughty! He hopes to scare, confuse and arouse the audience with their raunchy antics.
-
Performer
Vincetta Vaudeville, the artist’s newest persona, explores the character tropes of the ‘daddy’s girl’. Alice Bowen (she/her) uses the song ‘Missed Me’ by The Dresden Dolls to channel this:
The circus is where you may reveal your true self to what the real world would view as obscenity. Where does Vincetta stand when morality and normality are no longer at hand? At what point does innocence become evil or seduction become deception…
Young, delicate Vincetta is stuck in a state of disorientation, coming to terms with her unrequited love. Will her seductive endeavours and threat of power go too far…?
-
Host
Bulldaggers, Flappers, Jockers, Dykes and Jazzers: The G to end ‘er, the G so tender leaves nothing to the imagination and all to the night. Strap in and strap on for Georgie Harold-Moss (they/she) aka The Jaw Droppin’ G as Monsieur Madame Jezebel; a curator of cabaret with both vocal and improvised performance haggling in taboo, queer and interactive stagecraft.
-
Supporting Hosts
Joe Conway (he/they) is a performer, poet and musician from Doncaster, now living in Manchester. He hosts a poetry and comedy night at Creatures Comedy each month (Poets and Punchlines). Joe directed and wrote a play for Switch_MCR last year and also probably does other things he’s forgotten. A jack of all trades and a master of nothing, least of all himself.
-
Band
It’s full band and full monty with Natalie and the Monarchy.
Influenced by Riot grrrl and Dark Cabaret, Natalie and the Monarchy falls somewhere between grunge and theatre. Haunting and danceabe, they’re a provocative treat.
Natalie is the founder of Jezebel Presents and commissioned So La Flair to programme Jezebel’s opening cabaret.
